کتاب دستی شعرِ جدید


ه 1 اگر یکی شعری را بفهمد
ه 2 اگر یکی با شعری زندگی کند
او تنهایِ تنها خواهد مُرد

ه 3 اگر یکی با دو شعر زندگی کند
به یکی اش خیانت خواهد کرد

ه 4 اگر یکی آبستن از شعری شود
یک بچه کم خواهد داشت

ه 5 اگر یکی آبستن از دو شعری شود
دو بچه کم خواهد داشت

ه 6 اگر یکی در حین نوشتن تاج بر سر بگذارد
تق اش در خواهد آمد

ه 7 اگر یکی در حین نوشتن تاج بر سر خود نگذارد
جز خویش هیچ کس دیگری را نخواهد فریفت

ه 8 اگر یکی به شعری عصبانی شود
مردها خلعش خواهند کرد

ه 9 اگر یکی به شعری مدام عصبانی شود
زن ها خلعش خواهند کرد

ه 10 اگر یکی در میان جمع شعر را تحقیر کند
کفش هایش پر از شاش خواهد شد

ه 11 اگر یکی اقتدار را به شعر ترجیح دهد
او کثیر القدرت خواهد شد

ه 12 اگر یکی به شعرهایش ببالد
دیوانه ها او را خواهند ستود

ه 13 اگر یکی به شعرهایش ببالد و دیوانه ها را دوست داشته باشد
دیگر شعر نخواهد توانست بنویسد

ه 14 اگر یکی به خاطر شعرهایش ویار توجه داشته باشد
شبیه نره خری خواهد بود در نور مهتاب

ه 15 اگر یکی شعر بنویسد و از شعر رفیق ش تعریف کند
معشوقه ی خوشگلی خواهد داشت

ه 16 اگر یکی شعر بنویسد و در تحسین شعر رفیقش بیش از حد مبالغه کند
معشوقه اش را از کف خواهد داد

ه 17 اگر یکی شعر یکی دیگر را به نام خود قلمداد کند
بزرگی قلبش دو برابر خواهد شد

ه 18 اگر یکی شعرهایش را کون برهنه و لخت ول کند
از مرگ خواهد ترسید

ه 19 اگر یکی از مرگ هراس داشته باشد
شعرهایش او را نجات خواهند داد

ه 20 اگر یکی از مرگ نترسد
شعرهایش شاید او را نجات خواهند داد شاید هم نه

ه 21 اگر یکی شعری را به فرجام برساند
در حمام نانوشته ی اشتیاقش دوش خواهد گرفت
و کاغذی سفیدش خواهد بوسید

1 If a man understands a poem
2 If a man lives with a poem,
he shall die lonely.

3 If a man lives with two poems,
he shall be unfaithful to one.

4 If a man conceives of a poem,
he shall have one less child.

5 If a man conceives of two poems,
he shall have two children less.

6 If a man wears a crown on his head as he writes,
he shall be found out.

7 If a man wears no crown on his head as he writes,
he shall deceive no one but himself.

8 If a man gets angry at a poem,
he shall be scorned by men.

9 If a man continues to be angry at a poem,
he shall be scorned by women.

10 If a man publicly denounces poetry,
his shoes will fill with urine.

11 If a man gives up poetry for power,
he shall have lots of power.

12 If a man brags about his poems,
he shall be loved by fools.

13 If a man brags about his poems and loves fools,
he shall write no more.

14 If a man craves attention because of his poems,
he shall be like a jackass in moonlight.

15 If a man writes a poem and praises the poem of a fellow,
he shall have a beautiful mistress.

16 If a man writes a poem and praises the poem of a fellow overly,
he shall drive his mistress away.

17 If a man claims the poem of another,
his heart shall double in size.

18 If a man lets his poems go naked,
he shall fear death.

19 If a man fears death,
he shall be saved by his poems.

20 If a man does not fear death,
he may or may not be saved by his poems.

21 If a man finishes a poem,
he shall bathe in the blank wake of his passion
and be kissed by white paper.
